Masi Bikes

In 2009, Masi was the only product line that was new to us at Synergy Cycle. Though our shop is new, we’ve been working in the industry with our suppliers for several years.

For the most part, Synergy Cycle focuses on “athletic-use” bicycles; namely the best of what the industry offers in the high-end, as they call it. However, we do think it’s important to remember that we’re all cyclists, first and foremost, before being road-cyclists or “mountain bikers”, and we all share a common interest in commuting in the city by bike. We must also admit that we’ve become quite interested in the fixed-gear and retro-”movements”.

Our interest in the Masi product line grew considerably through the course of the ‘09 season because we discovered that our instincts were right: the Masi bikes are fantastic! We’ve focused primarily on the cromo/steel bikes because they’ve proven to be excellent for the money. There’re few brands right now that are offering complete steel bikes with the value we’ve seen from Masi. The frames are beautifully welded, the Masi tube-sets are light and surprisingly stiff, and the parts kits from one model to another exceed our expectations for the price.

For 2010, we’ll be stocking the Speciale-Fixed drop-bar bike as well as the Speciale-Fixed-Limited flat-bar bike. The Soulville SS and Randonneur models are also likely to be seen on our sales floor as well and all other models will be available for special order, pending availability.
